I believe in creating a welcoming and safe environment where clients feels empowered to participate in guiding their session and fully relaxing to receive the work.  I continue to study to further my knowledge and my ability to best serve my clients.  Since graduating from the Downeast School of Massage I have studied "Deep Massage" with David Lauterstein of Austin Texas, and completed a two year mentorship in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Jenna Milner of Ithaca, New York (eightwaves.com).

I decided to become a massage therapist in 2010 after being hit on my motorcycle.  As the hours and days passed after the accident I realized the extent of the soft tissue damage from the sudden impact and I sought out bodywork to aid in my healing.  This became the 4th time bodywork helped me recover fully from injuries over the past 20 years, at times recovering beyond what doctors had told me to expect.  My experiences at the hands of other therapists inspired me to start down the path of becoming a massage therapist and bodyworker to serve and help others as I have been helped.  I am grateful to be doing this work and excited to share it with others.

Studying biodynamic craniosacral redefined for me what is possible in the realm of body work.  Seeing the results reflected in my clients after they are able to reach a state of deep relaxation that haven't experienced in a long time (or sometimes ever) continues to inspire and energize me.

A daily meditation practice grounds me in the everyday, as well as a requirement to stay grounded to hold the space for the biodynamic craniosacral work.  In my free time I enjoy growing food, being on or by the water, reading, and bicycling.
